Grin :)
E. told me after rehearsal last night that I was getting better. I have a small 3 measure solo in one piece and my stand partner and I carry the melody in another piece we are playing at JUMC Sunday morning. It was a good night for intonation! Smile and grin!
"I have learned that there lies dormant in the souls of all men a penchant for some particular musical instrument, and an unsuspecting yearning to play on it, that are bound to wake up and demand attention some day." --Mark Twain
I started my strings adventure as a 50 year old beginner. After 5 years of playing the violin, and many orchestra reahearsals spent staring longingly at the viola section, I realized I was in love with the deep, rich sound of the viola. I stepped out on faith and purchased a viola from Bulgaria via eBay. Let the transition begin!
