- I started my strings adventure as a 50 year old beginner. After 5 years of playing the violin, and many orchestra reahearsals spent staring longingly at the viola section, I realized I was in love with the deep, rich sound of the viola. I stepped out on faith and purchased a viola from Bulgaria via eBay. Let the transition begin!
My German girl, Sophia
Sophia came to me by way of Sofia, Bulagria. She was made by Karl Kraus in 1982 in Mittenwald, Germany.

It was the best concert ever..so worth the big bucks. AND he is the cutest muscian I've ever seen on stage. I think I love hime.
